It makes for a good movie, doesn’t it? A wedding disaster of some sort… the delivery vehicle, the one with your cake in it, ends up in an accident, high winds take out the outdoor reception decorations and destroy the tents, the church gets bombed. There is a wedding tradition that stands the test of time; it’s all about celebrating the bride, showering her with presents, and bonding with other females. But the trend now is to have a couple wedding shower. Is this better than one just for the bride?
Usually, the maid of honor hosts the wedding shower and it’s up to her whether to have it for just the bride or for both the bride and groom. However, this time of celebrating and showering of gifts can be put on by a close family member, church member, neighbor, or even a coworker from the office.
